Our Story

From the moment you step on our original oak floorboards, you’ll know you’ve left the modern world behind. Here, you can bring pleasure and joy back to gift giving and home decorating. Peruse the aisles, and visit each room downstairs and up for fine, locally handcrafted gifts, decorative accessories, country furniture and foods.  It’s all here in our lovingly restored 1840’s general store that was originally a trading post for the D&H Canal.

  • History Photo of the Week: The lower lead mine, 1913. The main mine operated from the 1800s until about 1920. What's left today is just remnants! It was located on the western side of the Shawangunks just north of Wurtsboro.
